Virgin: Barcelona preview 2010

4th May 2010

Since Shanghai, we have conducted an extensive investigation into the failures that halted the obvious progress the team has been making since its debut. That investigation has highlighted a number of issues that are currently being addressed by the race team, Wirth Research and our key suppliers and our continuing aim is to put an end to the reliability issues that have dominated our Grand Prix debut.

Force India look forward to Spanish Grand Prix

4th May 2010

The other teams are not sleeping I am sure, and we'll see how much everyone has moved forward in Barcelona, but based on the way the team is working together at the factory and wind tunnel and then the superb implementation we see at the track I think we'll have an edge.

Renault preview for Barcelona

4th May 2010

Barcelona is one of those circuits where you pay a heavy penalty if you’re lacking aero efficiency, but we’ve added an enormous amount of downforce to the car since winter testing, so we shouldn’t be out of position. We won’t run the same set-up we used during the test because the car has evolved since then and the races have taught us a lot about how to get the most from it.

Adrian Sutil; Question and Answer Session

26th April 2010

Adrian Sutil at the Chinese grand prixThere was a small problem with the rear left at the pitstop, and I lost four seconds and positions to Massa and Barrichello. I had to fight to get back past Rubens, which worked out, but still I just missed the points.

Rosberg gains third place in Shanghai

19th April 2010

Rosberg 3rd in ShanghaiFollowing advice from Jock and the team, I decided to stay out on slicks and give it a go when the first showers hit. I was out there just thinking please stop raining! But it was the right call and it was a nice feeling to be leading the race for a while.

Chinese GP Race for Williams

18th April 2010

Some of the calls on our pitstops were wrong, some were right, but overall we weren't fast enough and didn't make the right decisions. Rubens made a good start so we have improved in that area since Malaysia. We’re now looking ahead to Barcelona to take a step forward with our performance.

Chinese qualifying for Force India

16th April 2010

It was still tricky with quite low grip and ultimately we felt that another position or two could have been within reach in Q3. Tonio was very unfortunate with traffic today in Qualifying, so couldn't actually put together a representative lap.

Lotus preview the 2010 Chinese GP

Malaysian GP Review for Williams

6th April 2010

It was a good step forward for Nico. Obviously, the priority for him was to complete a race distance and his strong qualifying result gave him a better start to the race than Bahrain or Australia. Only claiming one point I am sure won’t satisfy him, but it is moving in the right direction.

31st March 2010

McLaren looking forwards to Sepang RaceSepang is an awesome circuit, one that I love driving, and I think that I’ll be able to further develop and improve my relationship with the car here. It’s a circuit that not only requires smooth and precise input, but it also needs real commitment through some of the high-speed stuff. I think it’s a circuit that every driver loves

Malaysian GP – Sauber Preview

31st March 2010

For a driver it is by far the toughest race on the championship calendar and it is also very demanding on the car. I think if you are quick there you are quick everywhere, and, as I said before, it is a bit like Barcelona and both are very representative of what we find at other circuits. This means it is a good test bench for the drivers and the cars

It’s difficult to say whether a different strategy would have worked better - if we’d stopped once more and put a fresh set of tyres on, that might have been better way to go, but our target was to finish the race and we achieved that again. Now we go to Malaysia with a good feeling and we’re all looking forward to that.

Renault prepare for Melbourne.

25th March 2010

It’s a track where you need good braking stability because it’s very bumpy in the braking zones. You also need good traction because the lap is mostly made up of second and third gear chicanes where a good change of direction is important.

Force India at Bahrain 2010At least we finished. After the incident in the first corner it was the maximum we could do.
